Wondering what has happened to the Neverland Ranch?

After Michael Jackson’s death in 2009, the ranch was put up for sale. In 2015, the property was purchased by a private equity firm called Colony Capital LLC, which renamed it to Sycamore Valley Ranch.

In 2019, the ranch was put up for sale again, with an initial asking price of $31 million. The property underwent significant renovations and improvements, including the removal of amusement park rides and the addition of new features like a 50-seat movie theater and a 14-foot deep lagoon-style pool.

In late 2020, the property was sold to billionaire Ron Burkle for a reported $22 million, which is less than its original asking price. It is unclear what Burkle plans to do with the property, but it has been reported that he may turn it into a luxury resort or a high-end retreat for business executives.
